Borrowing WIFI Hotspots

In fulfilling the Amagansett Free Library’s dedication to provide access to information, the Library lends mobile wireless Hotspots.

A WiFi hotspot is a device you can use to connect a mobile-enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet, to the Internet. Mobile hotspots are portable, and work similar to home WIFI systems but rely on cell phone service- our hotspots use T-Mobile networks. Up to 10 devices can be connected using a Hotspot.

Hotspot checkout is limited to Amagansett Free Library adult cardholders (ages 18 and older) with a valid library card in good standing. When checking out a Hotspot, the cardholder must read and sign a WiFi Hotspot Borrowing Agreement.

The Borrowing Agreement outlines the terms and conditions of use, care of the hotspot, and replacement costs for the hotspot, charger, and case, should they be lost. All hotspots must be returned in person at the circulation desk, and may not be returned via the outside dropbox.
