2020 General Election Voting Information

Due to COVID-19, New York State allows all registerd voters to vote by mail for the 2020 General Election.
Three steps: 1. Register to Vote 2. Submit and Absentee Ballot Application- Last Day for Postmark is October 27 but cannot be guaranteed to arrive on time. Anyone with concerns of COVID-19 select “temporary illness” https://absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov/ or print and mail. * If mailing the Suffolk Address is 3.Recieve your ballot and return to have your vote counted.

General Election Deadlines

EARLY VOTING OCTOBER 24 – NOVEMBER 1

  • October 9 is the last day to postmark your voter registration form
  • October 9 is the last day to register to vote in person at your county Board of Elections office
  • October 27 is the last day to postmark application for absentee ballot by mail.
  • November 2 is the last day to apply in person for absentee ballot
  • November 2 is last day to postmark absentee ballot.
  • November 3 is the last day to deliver absentee ballot in person at board of elections.
